A Day In The Life

A Day In The Life of a Neighbors Choice® Franchisee

Your Advertising Customers

It’s easy to think about who some of your advertising customers will be. Just think about the products and services that you use in your own home. Then think about all the places you go to and how you get there.  Our newsletter readers are simply residents of neighborhoods, just like you and me, PEOPLE.
There may be some slight variations in the demographics. You may have many retirement communities in your territory or just the opposite, families with small children, and everything in between.
Your advertising customers may be seasonal and only advertise at certain times of the year. They may be small mom and pops that only want the neighborhoods in their immediate area. Conversely, your customer may be a large air conditioning company and want to run in everything you have.  There will be customers that want to reach brand new neighborhoods and many others who will want to reach the older, more established communities.

Your Neighborhood Customers

With a Neighbors Choice® franchise, you have 3 sets of customers. Your advertising customers pay all the bills, your neighborhood customers depend on you to publish and distribute their neighborhood news, and finally, the readers of your neighborhood newsletters are your end customers.
Neighborhoods everywhere have events, concerns, and all kinds of issues that they need to let the neighborhood residents know about so they can participate. Events ranging from Board meetings to neighborhood clean-ups, to safety issues, real estate information, local law and ordinance changes, and so much more.  The leadership in the neighborhoods you represent will rely on you to be sure that they receive a quality, informative, and timely publication.
Other services such as websites, electronic alerts, social media assistance, and other printing and mailing needs are also available for those that need it. We will educate you on working with all kinds of communities to provide them with the services they need to be able to effectively communicate with their residents.

Working With The Corporate Office

Our Production Department consists of graphic designers that excel in print media, web design, electronic newsletters, and more.  Our current production staff has been with us for a total of 44 years.
They are highly skilled at working with communities and understanding their needs. Each of them is capable of stepping into another department whenever necessary, whether that be advertising design, newsletter design, or other web and electronic design.
Short-run printing is among the most expensive of print jobs. We have worked with a multitude of machines and outside print companies and know how to give our customers excellent quality newsletters and make it work with the budget.
Our staff is fully versed in the different print methods and we always design to achieve the best possible print outcome.
Although we are producing more and more electronic newsletters, we have found that most neighborhood residents still prefer a print newsletter.
Our staff has been working with the US Postal Service for over 25 years and understand how they work.  We have invested in software, equipment, and education to ensure that our customers receive the best possible service.
