I think we all have things about our jobs that we like most. Occasionally, I get the opportunity to interview some of our San Antonio residents. I must admit that I enjoy meeting people like Gabe and Barbara Durand-Hollis, the Mayor and Board Secretary of the City of Hill Country Village.
Visiting with them brought me back to what I like to think of as the smallest of grass roots organizations. Neighborhoods.
From the day they moved into Hill Country Village in 2003, Gabe and Barbara knew they would be involved in the community. They had been involved in their previous neighborhood and naturally they would continue. For them and many, many like them it is a given. It’s what you do when you move into a neighborhood.
